Hosted phone systems · UK-wide

Your new phone system, posted to you ready to plug in.

We programme every extension, menu and message before your phones leave us. You plug them in and they work, wherever you are in the UK. On the Island, we'll fit it for you.

1

Tell us what you need

A 15-minute call: how many people, which numbers, and how calls should flow.

2

We programme everything

Extensions, ring groups, menus, voicemail and out-of-hours messages set up and tested before anything leaves us.

3

Your phones arrive ready

Yealink handsets posted to you pre-programmed, labelled with each person's name and extension.

4

Plug in and go

Plug each phone into your network and it connects itself. We stay on the line while you test and switch your numbers over.

Plain-English contracts

No five or eight-year lock-ins. No small print.

Some providers tie businesses into contracts that run five, even eight years, with renewals and exit fees tucked away in the small print. We don't work that way.

Sensible contract lengths

Terms that fit the job, agreed up front. Never a five or eight-year lock-in.

Everything written down

Length, monthly cost, notice period and what happens at the end, set out in plain English in your quote.

No sly renewals

We remind you before your term ends instead of quietly rolling you onto another long contract.

Stay because it works

We'd rather keep you because the service is good, not because the contract won't let you leave.

Who we are

An independent team you can actually reach.

The island Telecom name has been installing phone systems on the Isle of Wight for 36 years. It started as a family business run by Jamie's dad, and is run today by Jamie as Island Telecom Ltd. We specialise in turnkey communications for businesses on the Isle of Wight and beyond. We design and install bespoke, on-premises telephone systems (a personal alternative to rigid, plug-and-play boxes) alongside structured cabling, WiFi, CCTV, broadband and dedicated leased lines.

When you call, you speak to someone who knows your site. We're independent on purpose: it means faster answers, no jargon, and a team that's still here next year, not a call centre reading from a script.

Based on the Isle of Wight, we work wherever you need us: across the Island, on the mainland and on board ships worldwide.

2027 PSTN switch-off

Is your business ready for 31 January 2027?

The UK's old analogue and ISDN phone network switches off on 31 January 2027. It's not just phones. Card machines, alarms, door entry and lift lines on copper can stop working too. If your business is still on a traditional line, you need a plan before one's made for you. We can adapt your existing system to run on the new digital lines, often without the cost of a full replacement, or install a fresh system if you'd prefer a clean start. We also provide 4G/5G backup so you're never caught out.
